This starter policy is written for the current launch version of TrustCrawler. Review it with counsel as the product, states served, integrations, payment tools, and customer base grow.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how TrustCrawler collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, account area, business profile tools, scans, reports, emails, and related services.
2. Information we collect

3. How we use information
We use information to provide the service, run scans, generate reports, email results, maintain accounts, secure systems, improve quality, provide support, enforce policies, prevent abuse, comply with law, and communicate about the service.
4. Public website scans
When you submit a site for review, TrustCrawler may access publicly available pages, links, metadata, visible text, public technical signals, and related evidence. Do not submit a site unless you own, manage, or are authorized to request review of that site.
5. Cookies and sessions
We may use cookies and similar technologies for login sessions, security, preferences, analytics, and service improvement. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling required cookies may prevent account features from working.
6. How we share information
We do not sell customer business profile data or report data. We may share information with service providers who help operate the service, such as hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, security, storage, support, and report delivery. We may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent abuse, or as part of a business transfer.
7. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data retention
We keep information as long as needed to provide the service, maintain report history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business purposes. Customers may request deletion as described below, subject to legal, security, backup, and operational limits.
9. Your choices and requests
You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of certain information by contacting privacy@trustcrawler.com. We may need to verify your identity and account authority before responding. Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law.
10. State privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether applicable thresholds are met, state privacy laws may provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or opt out of certain uses of personal information. We will respond to applicable requests as required by law.
11. Children
The service is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
12. International users
The service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new last-updated date.
